The ice photos are my latest images in the ‘intimate landscapes” collection. Usually shot at close range (1-2 metres) they suggest forms and feelings usually associated with a different scale--the vast reaches of space or the shapes of the human body.

The true beauty of these photos can be best seen when they are zoomed to approximately 36” X 24” (all verticals). The detail is crisp and clear, like the lakefront on a cool March morning.
