Around the wharfs and jetties of Deer Harbor (Orcas Island, San Juan Islands), Onset Bay (Cape Cod, Massachusetts), Provincetown (Massachusetts), Naples Pier (Florida), and the Santa Monica Pier, I have found excellent subjects for studies in composition, texture and color. Most of these were shot with a Nikon 20-200 lens in close range under natural light conditions.
